Professional Education

In addition to advocating and working to resolve resident complaints our ombudsmen provide education services to both consumers and providers of long-term care. These education services incudes topics related to good care practices, preventing and recognizing abuse and neglect, resident rights, and person-centered care. By providing education and technical assistance to professionals who work with and around residents we move towards a more resident-oriented, individualized system of care. Educating resident and family groups helps empower them to participate in resolving problems and improves care. To schedule an education session call 859-277-9215 or email us at nhoa@ombuddy.org.
